Supporting Creative Photography Workshop at Dynamo Camp

Today we celebrate World Volunteer Day, a day dedicated to recognizing the time, energy, and skills of volunteers around the world.

To join in the celebration, today we want to share the experience of Dynamo Camp, which involves approximately 2,000 volunteers every year. Since its inception, Dynamo Camp has provided children and teenagers with serious illnesses the opportunity to build deep connections with their peers and rediscover confidence in themselves and others. All in a fun-filled environment, where Dynamo staff and volunteers bring Recreational Therapy into the many artistic and sports activities.

For years, we have been supporting Dynamo Camp, and this year we have renewed our commitment by supporting the creation of the Creative Photography Workshop. This workshop not only aims to stimulate the creativity of the participants but, above all, to foster deep connections among peers who share similar experiences. The workshop is primarily designed for adolescents with illnesses who experience the complexity of their condition, not only physically but also on a deeper level typical of young age, which accentuates sensitivity towards their surroundings.

Among these activities, the Creative Photography Workshop is one of the most beloved by those aged between 13 and 17. The activity includes both free shots and proper portraits, not only allowing participants to experiment with various photographic techniques but also, in true Dynamo style, providing an opportunity to build relationships and moments of peer-to-peer discussion. With our support for the Dynamo Studios project and this more recent Creative Photography Workshop, we are happy to contribute to the development of the creative potential of the young guests at Dynamo Camp. We believe that young people have the great ability to bring energy and positivity, but they need adults to support them in gaining confidence in their abilities. This happens in all contexts, including our company, which is why we believe in Dynamo projects that stimulate learning and socialization.

Alessandro Vistoli, CEO Terranova

In this video, Mirko, Activity Manager, talks about the Workshop and the collaboration with Terranova:

The portrait part is certainly the most challenging and also a bit more delicate because teenagers are at an age where recognizing and appreciating their bodies is not easy. Within these workshops, there is play, the discovery of new techniques, or becoming passionate about something, but the ultimate goal is building relationships. Through photography, we create relationships, friendships, exchanges of opinions, and appreciation among people.
